My latest Etsy purchase

I got these fantastic little silver earrings and I LOVE THEM!

A design so very admired by the ancient Greeks...A flirtatious bit of decoration, these leaf earrings are entirely hand drawn, hand cut and executed in sterling silver. Since I draw the design on metal by hand, every pair of earrings will be a tiny bit different.Earrings feature a brushed finish and measure 16mm (.6") in diameter. Comfortable silicon backs are included upon request.

This is where to get them or any other of FairLeia's jewelry: http://fairleia.etsy.com/

My new favorite smell

...Method lavender lemongrass aroma spray and

aroma sticks. I love the smell of lavender and this is the perfect spring scent. I've reluctantly started my spring cleaning. I love, LOVE a clean house, I just don't want to actually clean it. Plus I use all natural cleaners! That is best way to get clean. Now we will be ready to put pictures of the house up. Sell baby sell!

Would you wear this?

First of all I want to say that I am not a big fan of hair extensions BUT Katie looks much better with them. I was not a big fan of her short quaff. Second...are those stirrup leggings? The dress is cute and the shoes match perfectly but the leggings? Leggings are cute with say a denim skit and some sneaks, not a beautiful evening dress. Did I mention they were STIRRUP leggings? This is one past fashion trend that needs to stay in the past. I remember being in Jr. High and going to The Limited and getting my Forenza stirrup leggings with my Outback Red shirt, (that had the tag on the back so everyone could see it), and thinking I was HOT S**T! Looking back...it did look like s**t alright. So I ask you...would you wear this?

Melodic, dreamy, psychedelic...it's just a great song! When I want to be somewhere else, I break out the iPod let the haunting harmonies relax me.

My paparazzi pic

My husband isn't a photographer...I am usually the one to take the pictures. Yesterday we went to the zoo and he took pictures of all of us on the carousel. In 4/8 of the pictures we were not looking at him.

This picture reminded me of the "Stars Just Like Us" section of Us Magazine (which I no longer subscribe to).

They ride the carousel with their kids:

: )

Just Duckie!

Bryn turned one on Friday and I wanted to give her a special rubber duckie cake (she loves her duckies). I like to make my kids' birthday cakes. My mom always made mine and hers always tasted the best. I have never used fondant before and I thought I would give it a shot. I even made my own fondant and buttercream frosting. The fondant was really messy but easy to make. It was however a bit difficult to work with, especially if there is an ounce of humidity in the air! All in all I think it went pretty well. Here is the finished product:

The little cupcake was Bryn's to eat, errr smash!

I used pearl dust for the bubbles. They looked bubbly!

I did catch flack for not making my own ducks. I had already bought the ducks. This way she has a little keepsake from her cake. Hey this isn't Ace of Cakes ya know!

I think it's 'quacktastic'!

and the taste test...

Yea! Delicioso!
